Surgeons in the Hepatobiliary-Pancreatic and Gastrointestinal (HPB-GI) Surgery Section at Washington University School of Medicine maintain one of the highest-volume liver and pancreas surgery centers in the United States. In addition, surgeons in this Section have been at the forefront of developing minimally invasive techniques to treat benign and malignant conditions of the liver and pancreas. The Section offers a one-year clinical fellowship in HPB surgery and is a leader in liver and pancreatic cancer research.
